Imagine a world where the clouds are black…
… but the skies are darker still…

A world where ghosts and monsters live side by side with people like you and I…
A world where the only natural light lasts three hours a day and is red like blood…

Now imagine a 12 year old boy called Courage Jones who lives in this dark place, who dreams of a world of blue skies, of clear seas and green fields – a world like ours. He believes it is only a dream, and nothing so beautiful could exist.

A World of Night begins the legend of Courage Jones, a twelve year-old boy who has lived all his life in the gothic metropolis of Darcovik, until he discovers there is an exciting world of adventure waiting for him in the wide, dark world beyond. It is a world of fantastical creatures and revelations, where our best and worst nightmares exist. A world where sometimes monsters are your best friends, and people are your worst enemies.
